Massive Haul

In just 1 week I will be at reading festival! So I thought it was about time I do some shopping for it.

I thought that I would first of all get the essentials down, so I went to Argos. I managed to find everything I needed for reasonable prices. My tent cost me £19.99, my sleeping bag was £16.99 and my rucksack was £17.99. All in all I got everything that I wanted for about £50 and got 10% back in a voucher!

My next stop was boots, I picked up this Maybelline blue eyeliner, I have tried it out once and it is quite waxy and a little bit harder to use then what I am used to. I found that framing it with black eyeliner and using a made it look so much better than just the blue on its own.
(A tutorial may be coming soon!)

I also got myself the Soap and Glory Archery, Brow Tint and Pencil. I have a feeling that this is going to take me a while to get used to as I normally use the Urban Decay Brow Box, which is a powder. I have never used a brow pencil before... ever. So this is a completely new thing for me. I have heard such great things about this little sucker so I thought I would give it a whizz!

The last thing I got from Boots is this L'Oreal Dream Magic BB. The amazing thing about this (or at least I think it's pretty cool) is that when you squeeze it out of the bottle it is white... then as you blend it into the skin is gives out some colour. However, after using it I found it makes me very orange as I have the palest skin, ever.

I also did some online shopping at asos and boohoo... And spent way too much.

I got these beautiful trousers from boohoo. They remind me of vintage china print, they have a zip on the side and are a stretchy fabric so they are super comfy!

I also got the top, it's a basic black swing top and it goes with the trouser I bought so nicely.

Getting in to the festival spirit, I got this bumbag.
I wanted something to keep everything safe, so I thought a bum bag was the best decision.

I bought these beautiful sunglasses, they are sort of a tortoise shell effect on the top.

I got these beautiful shoes from New Look, they were in the sale and a bargain at £10!

On the subject of shoes, I bought these wells from Asos. They are Cath Kidson and weren't a bad price either. They come with this bag so when they get muddy they are separate from the rest of your stuff.

Winged Eyeliner Tutorial

Winged eyeliner has been a pain since I first started out with make up properly. It is still time consuming and aggrovating but I thought I would share some tips that have made it a little easier for me.

I found it so much easier using a eyeliner felt tip pen rather than an actual liquid liner. My favourite at the moment is the Soap and Glory 'Super Cat' liner, the pointed tip makes it so easy to get your eyeliner precise and if you use the side of it, it makes it easy to line the lash line. One pointer though, if you have eyes that water and you wipe away tears this eyeliner will smudge, another great eyeliner is the Benefit gel liner, this will not budge all day but does take some getting use too. And it is also quite pricey. But at the end of the day, it will be you applying it so find something that works for you.

I start by making a line out of the corner of my eye, as if the water line was continuing out. I like to do that on both eyes and make them as equal as possible before carrying on. If you make a mistake, don't worry get a cotton bud or I like to use a Simple eye make up remover pen and just go over your mistake.

Once they are as equal as possible I start on one eye, lining the lash line. I start from the line I just made and then make little movements with the pen all the way in and down to the tear duct. The line going down from the tear duct, you want to make a thin as possible. This makes it more natural looking and I think it looks better than having a thick line all the way across.

I then slightly tilt the pen and use this thicker edge to go over the lash line. I find that doing this quickly and in one movement is more effective but if you are not as confident take your time and do little dashes all the way doing then join it up. Then I just perfect the look, I decided to make my flick a little longer on each side and made sure it was completely equal.

For this particular look, I used a matte brown in the crease to give my eye some more shape, and then finished off by using bronzer, blush, mascara and lipstick.

My Lip Product Collection (High End and Drug Store)

I thought I would do a Lip Product collection post. My lip products include mainly lip sticks, but gloss sticks and lip gloss too!

1. I am starting with the first ever lipsticks I bought which are the Rimmel London, Moisture Renew Lipsticks I have them in 500 Diva Red and 110 Rose Sorbet (I think this shade is not available anymore). Buy here.

Diva red is a very dark toned red with blue undertones. I bought this as a 'statement' lipstick as I think every girl should have a red lipstick, but unfortunatly I haven't got much wear out of it as I prefer more neutral colours.

Rose sorbet is a pinky-peach colour. It's a beautiful colour for the summer time!

2. Tanya Burr Cosmetics in 'Afternoon Tea' Buy here.

Tanya is one of the main beauty blogs and youtube channel that really sparked my interest in make up and beauty. Thanks to the likes of Tanya, Zoella and Louise (From Sprinkle of Glitter) I am now about to start a make up artistry course to become a qualified make up artist. So when Tanya brought out her own line of cosmetics I had to pick up one... or two, I also picked up a nail polish. I was not disappointed. I love this lipgloss and that is saying something because I am not a massive fan of lip glosses

3. 'Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss' in number 08 and 03 Buy here.

This beautiful lipstick will always be my 'go to'. It's so easy to wear and it smell so good! It gives off a natural look but you can tell that you're wearing a lip product, it's just a wonderful 'Your lips but better' shade, and looks so gorgeous with a smokey eye!

03 is very similar, but more of a nude colour.

4. 'L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée' in 'Eva's nude' and 'Julianne's nude'. Buy here.

Eva's nude is very similar to the Kate Moss 08 lipstick I own but just a bit lighter. I find that I use this on days were I'm wearing light make up and just looks so beautiful on! A completely wearable colour.

Julianne's nude is my newest lipstick as it came as part of a christmas present! I have not even worn it yet! When swatching it looks like a pinker version of Eva's nude, and I can't get enough pink coloured lipsticks so bring them to me L'oreal.

5. 'Bourjois Paris Colour Boost' in 02 Fuchsia Libre. Buy here.

Now this purchase was due to the fact I saw a video with Tanya Burr or Zoella talking about it, I can't remember which. However, the colour pay off from this stick is gorgeous, highly pigmented glory! I find however, that the colour is a bit too in your face for me so when I do use it I pat it out on my lips dulling down the colour a little bit.

6. 'Rimmel London Apocalips' in 101 Celestial. Buy here.

I first saw Fleur DeForce talking about these babies and oh boy are they good. I am not a massive fan of lip glosses or lacquers but this little boy is absolutely gorgeous. I bough a colour I hadn't heard much of and it paid off big time because this is my all time favourite lip lacquer. The thing I love the most about this is that it goes on all nice and pigmented and glossy but drys to a more matte finish with not loosing any colour.

7. 'Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butters' in 063 Wild Watermelon, 050 Berry Smoothie and 090 Sweet Tart. Buy here.

I don't think I need to do much talking about them as everyone has already praised them to death, if you have not heard of these... have you been living under a rock?

8. 'Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker' in Nudist. Buy here.

I am a massive fan of soap and glory products however, this one doe not really tickle my fancy. I do not like the sheerness or the stickiness of this product and sadly no matter how hard I try to like it (and I really have) I just cannot.

9. 'Mac Cremesheen' in Speed Dial. Buy here.

This gorgeous pink lippy was my statement colour in August, I will always love it as it was my first ever mac product let alone lipstick! It totally suited my colouring!

10. 'Mac Matte' in Viva Glam 1. Buy here.

I have only used this product once and found it hard to work with, I will defiantly use a brush next time, although this is a real gorgeous red. When I say gorgeous I mean stunning, this is the best red I have ever seen!

11. 'Mac Cremesheen' in Morning rose. Not available to buy due to it being limited edition. (Damn)

This is my favourite Mac lipstick and it is always the one I reach for on a lazy day. It is just such a beautiful nude.

12. 'Mac Frost' in Pet Me, Please. Not available to buy due to it being limited edition.

This colour, I don't actually like on its own, but if you choose the wrong lip colour for your look, put this over the top and you're good to go, trust me.

13. Soap and Glory 'Perfect Day' Buy here.

This colour is just a perfect pink toned red, and is so easy to wear. The only thing with this one is that it can be a little drying, so just make sure to prep your lips before applying.

14. Urban Decay in 'Turn On' Buy here

Everything about this lipstick, I just love. The packaging, the formulation, the finish, the colour. It is perfect! I don't think Urban Decay get enough recognition for their other products apart from the naked palettes. Being the same price as MAC, I would recommend this one over MAC any day (and I love MAC).

15. Urban Decay 'Naked Lipgloss' in Nooner. Buy here.

This gloss, has such a lovely creamy texture to it. It feels so good on your lips and makes you wanna reapply it all the time. Can I also say that I am a sucker for Urban Decay Packaging.

16. 'YSL Rouge Pur Couture' in 04. Buy here.

I saved the best till last... I have no regrets buying this beautiful berry red lipstick. By far the priciest lipstick I own at a £25 but worth every penny. This colour comes into its own in the winter and I just love it so much.

Whats your favourite lipstick?
